APRES partnered with Bonkers Frankfurt and Adidas to create a unique, community-inspired football jersey that captured the spirit of the local culture and the distinctive style of the Bonkers shop. The jersey was featured on the Adidas CONFIRMED app, where the Adidas community voted on the final design. Over 4 to 8 weeks, the project required a harmonious blend of creativity, collaboration, and strategic direction to unite the brand identities of Bonkers and Adidas while resonating with the community.
(OUR APPROACH)
APRES led the Creative Direction, Art Direction and Video Editing for this dynamic collaboration. Working closely with Bonkers and Adidas, together we conceptualized the jersey’s design, managed visual storytelling, and ensured alignment across all stakeholders. In collaboration with renowned photographer Fabian Reichenbach, we curated a striking visual identity for the project. Fabian’s photography played a key role in capturing the essence of the jersey, enhancing its appeal, and solidifying the overall visual presence across digital platforms and marketing materials.
(VISION)
Our vision was to design a football jersey that embodied the vibrant community spirit of Frankfurt while seamlessly blending the streetwear edge of Bonkers with the innovative global reputation of Adidas. The jersey needed to resonate with both local fans and the global Adidas community. We aimed to produce a design that was authentic, community-driven, and engaging enough to inspire a strong emotional connection among voters on the Adidas CONFIRMED app.
(CHALLENGES)
The project presented several challenges, particularly in aligning the distinct brand identities of Bonkers and Adidas while ensuring the design resonated with the community. Finding common ground between Bonkers' street-inspired aesthetic and Adidas' global appeal was essential, requiring precise creative direction and clear communication between all parties. Additionally, incorporating the community voting element added pressure to create a design that would resonate widely. Balancing these elements while meeting deadlines required careful coordination and adaptability.
(OUTCOME)
The collaboration resulted in a standout football jersey with fitting social media marketing communication that successfully merged the unique aesthetics of Bonkers Frankfurt and Adidas. The jersey garnered significant attention and engagement on the Adidas CONFIRMED app, where users enthusiastically participated in the voting process. The positive feedback highlighted the project's success in uniting two distinct brands while capturing the spirit of the community. APRES played a central role in guiding the creative vision and managing the complex collaboration, resulting in a product that all stakeholders were proud of.
